International Survey Results

2 Feb

As part of World Cancer Day (Sunday 4th February) we are excited to be able to share the results of the International Look Good Feel Better Global Patient Survey, which highlights the impact and satisfaction of the programme across the world.

The results indicate that Look Good Feel Better creates a significant boost in self-confidence among women undergoing treatment for cancer.  With patient satisfaction scores above 90%, the vast majority of particpiants would highly recommend Look Good Feel Better to other people.

The Look Good Feel Better Global Patient Survey includes responses from 13,300 cancer patients in North and South America, Europe, and Australasia.  Participants ranked their feelings of confidence, pre- and post-workshop and the value of the programme to their self-image.

96% rated the Look Good Feel Better programme as very valuable in improving their self-image

78% reported an increase in confidence after a workshop

98% would recommend Look Good Feel Better to another person undergoing cancer treatment

“The mission of World Cancer Day is to ‘explore how everyone can do their part to reduce the global burden of cancer,’” said Sarahjane Robertson, Executive Director of Look Good Feel Better UK.   “By so effectively addressing the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment, which can be a profound psychological burden on women in the midst of treatment, we are certainly working hard to support this mission.”
