Lions of Windsor

18 Jul

Look Good Feel Better are thrilled to be one of four chosen charities to benefit from The Lions of Windsor & Maidenhead 2019 public art event. There will be a pride of over 40 supersized lion sculptures displayed across the Royal Borough between 10th – 27th October to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria and raise funds for local causes.

The magnificent lion sculptures are sponsored by a wide range of businesses and organisations and decorated by leading UK artists, designers and illustrators, including fashion designer Dame Zandra Rhodes, Lacroix/Vuitton designer Craig Wheatley and the great-great granddaughter of celebrated French impressionist Camille Pissarro.  A mini-pride of lion cubs has been decorated by schools and artists across the region.

The giant pride will be installed on the streets of the Royal Borough, from Windsor to Eton, Ascot, Datchet, Maidenhead and beyond, from World Lion Day on Saturday 10th August.  You can get up close with the pride by following the sculpture trail and maps will be available from outlets across Windsor and also available online.

The beautifully decorated lion sculptures will then be auctioned on Thursday 21st November at a glittering gala auction at the Runnymede Hotel near Windsor and 100% of event profits will be split between the four benefitting charities.
