Annette Finlay-Price Beauty Consultant and LGFB Regional Co-ordinator (Edinburgh & Kirkcaldy) Having gone through treatment for breast cancer myself I know what these ladies are going through. When you’ve lost your hair, eyebrows and eyelashes you don’t feel you can get any lower, but after a LGFB session everyone comes out happy, smiling and looking a million dollars. It’s wonderful to see and I’m pleased to be able to help with these great workshops. |

Per Neuman Managing Director, Estee Lauder Cosmetics Ltd The Beauty Industry is very proud of the work of LGFB both in the UK and internationally. We operate in a very image conscious environment and it is wonderful that our companies, brands and, most importantly, individuals within our businesses can all help in such an incredibly powerful, positive way. |

Ian Filby Retail Brand Development Director, Boots UK Limited Boots is delighted to have supported LGFB from the beginning and we have experienced first hand the satisfaction our staff get from helping women with cancer in this very positive way. Many stores organise fundraising days or weeks and everyone gains from this activity - the events have proved excellent vehicles for team building and store morale, we raise funds and more people are made aware of their excellent service. We look forward to continuing to work alongside LGFB for many years to come. |

Susan Taylor Chairman, LGFB UK Sadly, we are all affected by the impact of cancer on the lives of those around us, whether they are friends, family members or work colleagues. Whilst some people may think of skincare and makeup as non-essential, when you see the incredible difference attending a workshop makes, you know the value is more than skin deep - it gives hope and confidence to face the world. Over the past 15 years, the Industry has provided significant funding and donated many thousands of products to provide what is recognised as a highly valuable complementary support service for women going through cancer treatment. We are extremely proud of our programme and the unique solidarity shown by the Beauty Industry. With continued support, we can reach out and help many more women - that is our aim. |

Sarahjane Robertson Executive Director, LGFB UK Having worked for LGFB for several years, I never cease to be uplifted by the wonderful physical and emotional impact of our workshops. Women who come into a workshop looking a little sad and often lacking in confidence and self-esteem leave the session looking fantastic, with a smile on their faces and a spring in their step! I am proud to be part of an Industry which cares enough about women to support our efforts across the UK. |

Louanne Roark Executive Director, LGFB USA Look Good…Feel Better in the US has been providing help to women cancer patients since 1989 when the program began in just two locations. Since then, LGFB has become a nationwide public service programme and has served over 550,000 women. We are so proud of the fact that LGFB is now offered to women in 19 countries. The impact of cancer is something that knows no boundaries, no specific language or culture. We sincerely hope and believe that LGFB will continue to expand internationally helping more and more women cope with cancer treatment and its side-effects. |

Sherry Abbott Executive Director, LGFB Canada When diagnosed with cancer, you have your support network — your healthcare team, your friends and family. But sometimes what you really want to do is spend a few hours with women who are on a similar journey — to share stories and laughter in a warm and welcoming environment that makes you feel you’re still engaged in the joy of living. This is the gift that Look Good...Feel Better workshops have offered to more than 70,000 women across Canada since the program was launched more than 15 years ago. Our workshop beneficiaries have learned creative ways to deal with the appearance-related effects of cancer treatment and, in the process, they have told us they reclaimed their sense of self and discovered that when they look good, they do, indeed, feel better. Our program and workshops are made possible by the commitment of member companies of the Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association and Look Good...Feel Better program sponsors, as well as the 1,800 volunteer beauty advisers who give so generously of their time to deliver the workshop experience. |

Sally Harrold National Programme Manager, LGFB Australia For someone to come up with a simple concept that makes such a big difference in so many women’s lives is a gift and I feel very blessed to be associated with the LGFB Programme. I say each time we help someone - when we put a little bit of lippy on - we make someone smile through a really terrible time, that is a valuable gift we give and I think it’s fantastic. |

Dr. Stephen Houston Consultant Medical Oncologist, Mount Vernon Cancer Treatment Centre We feel very fortunate to have LGFB workshops taking place in The Royal Surrey Hospital. I always know when my patients have been along to a session because the next time I see them they are looking great and obviously feeling very much more positive and confident. |
|
Professor Hilary Thomas Consultant Oncologist I had seen the positive effects of LGFB workshops on my patients for many years but nothing prepared me for being diagnosed myself. You don’t realise how vulnerable women feel when they look into a mirror and see a stranger staring back. Being shown simple make-up skills made me feel able to go out looking as ‘normal’ as possible. |

Kate Tijou LGFB Beneficiary I was frightened to see how much hair had fallen out overnight and shocked at how I looked in the mirror. With some trepidation I went to a LGFB workshop and I can’t tell you how it helped me … I can now make myself look like the me I used to be, not the me who happens to be a cancer patient. |
|
Becky Robinson LGFB Beneficiary The LGFB consultant showed me how to carefully define my missing eyebrows and enhance my eyes now that I have lost my eyelashes. I look fantastic and can’t wait to go home and show my family - I look like me again. Thank you. |

Justine Jones-Lloyd LGFB Beneficiary Cancer treatment can be incredibly demoralising and energy-sapping but knowing I can still look my best has really helped me get through it. |
