#WARPAINT4LIFE WINS MARKETING CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR AWARD

On Thursday 24th September the creative team behind #Warpaint4Life and some of the LGFB head office team attended the prestigious Third Sector Awards, walking away with the award for Marketing Campaign of the Year.

#Warpaint4Life was created pro-bono by a team of advertising specialists, all donating their time and working after hours, aptly naming themselves, 7after6.  The campaign was then brought to life by a team of volunteers, including photographer, Josh van Gelder, International make-up artist, Caroline Barnes as well as hair and styling experts.

Through the generosity of magazines, newspapers, organisations and agencies donating advertising space #Warpaint4Life has been seen by more than 38 million people.  Featured on billboards, in retail parks and in print, the overall value of donated space has exceeded £1.2m.

Third Sector judge, Jen Shang Sargeant, professor of marketing at Plymouth University said: “This is a very inspirational, volunteer-led campaign.”

The campaign was shortlisted alongside Macmillan, Prostate Cancer UK, Marie Curie, PDSA and St John’s Ambulance.

LGFB Executive Director, Sarahjane Robertson comments: “We are proud to have been recognised and rewarded so publically and we continue to be indebted to the industry and all our partners for their ongoing support.”
