FEEL BETTER WEEK 2014 RAISES OVER £120,000
We’re pleased to announce that Feel Better Week raised over £100,000 – doubling last years’ total. The annual fundraising week, which is held in June is the perfect opportunity for member companies, partner organisations and individual fundraisers to show their support.
From 2nd June until 8th June, right across the country, supporters were putting up their bunting, getting out their collection tins and doing something special to raise money and awareness for women and teenagers who are living with cancer and struggling with the visible side effects of their treatment.
Companies across the Beauty and Fragrance Industry hosted Product Sales, Cake Bakes and ‘Pink-it-up’ days; including bareMinerals, L’Oreal, P&G, Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, Lena White and Tesco Beauty Worlds. Whilst the team at Kenneth Green Associates got physical, put on their lycra and cycled from Weybridge to Paris on a static bike in the comfort of their office reception - raising over £5,000!
Taking part in the fundraising event for the first time were Bannatyne Health Clubs who put on a number of activities at their clubs all over the UK, hosting cake bakes, pop-up nail bars, ‘pink’ spin-a-thons, tombola’s and even waxing the boss’s legs – raising an amazing £20,000.
Once again Coty doubled the amount raised compared to last year - through product sales and beauty treatments - taking the total amount raised in one week to a huge £19,000 across their three head office sites.
Ian Daniels, Head of Fundraising at LGFB said: “This is such an incredible achievement for LGFB and just shows the fantastic efforts made by all of our amazing supporters. This is such an important week for Look Good Feel Better and we hope that it will continue to grow – Bring on Feel Better Week 2015!”
